The governor of Ebonyi State, Dr Dave Umahi has directed the reopening of courts across the state on Monday, 29th June 2020, News9naija reports.
In a statement signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Hon. Orji Uchenna Orji, sighted by News9naija, the Governor in conjunction with the Chief judge of Ebonyi State, Justice Anselem Nwigwe, ordered all courts in the state to resume activities on Monday, 29th June, 2020.
The Governor however emphasizes the need for individuals to strictly observe the wearing of facemasks and social distancing while conducting their private or public businesses.
“I have been directed by the Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency Engr Chief David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE to inform members of the public that after consultation with the State Chief Judge, His Excellency the Governor has approved the re-opening of all the courts in the state with effect from Monday, 29th June 2020” a part of the statement reads.
